Wolf’s first career start comes at the expense of junior Tyler Olander, who has struggled in recent games with foul trouble and was held scoreless with only three rebounds in 21 minutes in a 69-65 loss to the Wolfpack on Tuesday. Wolf, who came into this season playing only 36 minutes in two years, is averaging 4.e points and 3.1 rebounds a game in 12.9 minutes. He’s shooting a robust 12 of 14 from the floor and has showcased a jumper and a soft touch around the basket. At 7-foot, 240-pounds, Wolf has the size and length the Huskies desperately need. The Huskies are near the bottom of the NCAA in rebound margin ranked 310 of 345 teams at -6.1 per game.
Olander has had more fouls than rebounds in the last five games and is averaging 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. the rest of the lineup of Shabazz Napier, Ryan Boatright and Omar Calhoun at guard with DeAndre Daniels at forward remains in the lineup.
