The second-ranked team nationally in Division I is taking on a team that’s predicted to finish third in the Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. And there are no surprises.
UConn is shooting 54 percent from the floor in building a 50-13 halftime lead over Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Sophomore Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis leads the Huskies with 14 points with freshman Breanna Stewart adding nine. IUP has 17 turnovers and just four field goals.
IUP actually scored the game’s first two points, but UConn got the next 16. The Huskies later had a 13-0 run and then added the last eight of the period.
