KML to miss Colgate game

University of Connecticut women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma said Tuesday morning that sophomore Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis will miss Wednesday’s game with Colgate (7 p.m., SNY) due to a concussion suffered Saturday against Purdue.

“She probably won’t practice today and definitely won’t play tomorrow,” Auriemma said. “Beyond that it’s a matter of when she passes the test (to be cleared to play). With these things now you’d rather err on the side of caution and that’s what we are going to do. It wouldn’t matter who we were playing.”

Mosqueda-Lewis, the 2012 Big East Sixth Man and Freshman of the Year, is averaging 16.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in five games for the Huskies (5-0).
