UConn received a verbal commitment from 6-6 215-pound Christ the King athlete Jordan Fuchs in football according to the New York Post.
Fuchs is a 2-sport star and has many offers in football as well as basketball. The 6-6 Fuchs is friends with UConn PG recruit Terence Samuel and also play AAU basketball with Samuel and another UConn recruit in Kentan Facey.
Fuchs has said he wanted to play both sports in college. It’s a coup for UConn, which could have the 6-6 athlete play receiver or right end. The Huskies are desperately in search of athletes of Facey’s caliber. As far as basketball, UConn could use the depth at forward though it is right now not determined if Fuchs will walk-on.
Here is a story in the NY Post on Fuchs in September.
