Stevenson suspended, Boyle moves up

UConn cornerback David Stevenson has been suspended from the team indefinitely for a violation of team rules head coach Paul Pasqualoni said on his weekly American Athletic Conference call.

Replacing Stevenson in the two-deep for the Huskies at corner is  freshman Tyree Clark.

The Huskies start Byron Jones and Taylor Mack at corner and then have Jawan Williams and now Clark as the backups.

Pasqualoni also shed some light on the news that Tim Boyle is now on two-deep as quarterback. Boyle appears as an “OR” in the depth chart but Pasqualoni said that the true freshman is going to take most of the second team reps this week and has worked his way into competition with Casey Cochran for the backup job behind Chandler Whitmer.

“(Boyle) is actually taking the second team reps now and Casey (Cochran) is getting reps as well,” Pasqualoni said. “Timmy is taking the first second team reps.”
