Report: Don Brown headed to Boston College
John F. Silver

Brown
Brown would join new Boston College coach Steve Addazio’s staff in Chestnut Hill. It is also a difficult blow to the UConn program that’s only adequate unit was Brown’s defense, which ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Under Brown, the Huskies allowed just a shade over 19 points per game this season as it was 23 rd in the nation in scoring defense.
Brown, a Massachusetts native, came to UConn two years ago after two years at the University of Maryland. Brown nearly left the staff after one year as he was reportedly offered the Yale head coaching job last winter. Brown, who was head coach at UMass when it was in the FCS, remained at UConn this past season.
