STORRS, Conn. — It was a day late, but the DePaul women’s basketball team arrived at Gampel Pavilion at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, 75 minutes before tipoff of its game with UConn.
The Blue Demons (17-6, 6-3) were scheduled to arrive Saturday but could not get into Connecticut because of the blizzard. Bradley International Airport opened this morning and DePaul arrived in Windsor Locks shortly after noon.
Senior Anna Martin was sitting on the DePaul bench with an ice pack on her injured left knee as her teammates went through warmups and stretched. The all-Big East guard has not played since Jan. 19. It will be DePaul’s sixth game without her. The Blue Demons are 4-1 without her.
